Importance of fine arts in schools

"What is the purpose of fine arts in school?" I hear this question all the time. Just as people come to school to learn things like starting their own business or becoming scientists, there are people who want to learn to act or sing. Fine arts is just as important to them as chemistry is important to a scientist. It is a subject that needs to be taught for our aspiring actors and actresses. Art is for our future artists, band for our future musicians, choir for our future singers, and theatre art for our future movie stars. It is the school's job to prepare our generation for our future careers. So tell me if you are still in doubt about it's importance.
